THE WORK.

The classes will focus on the "spiral dynamics" and the knowledge of the anatomical bases following the model of the skeletal structure, learning to know it in all its limits and possibilities and to use it to the advantage of movement on the floor through space, this is what we consider today the FLOORWORK study.

By consciously directing the energy from the center to the extremities and the joints, one will come to leave and take back the weight of the body in a continuous game of "fall-equilibrium" exploiting the levers, the pressure of the points of support and the acceleration.

The floor, intended as a support, will become a material not only to be rejected but also a material on which to abandon oneself, to relax, to lean on.

It will focus on crossing the space without ever forgetting that it is not only composed of an "air" space but also of a "solid" space, the ground, the floor, the earth: a subject with which we deal every day and to which we are linked by gravity.

By exploiting the "gravitational principle" to descend and ascend from the ground, one will conquer and lose the vertical position, easily moving the weight of the body through the various levels and directions.

The study of the "floorwork" can be understood as a "pre-contact": the floor understood as "partner", a first step towards knowing one's own weight and then arriving at contact with others.

We will explore Partnering hand in hand with Floorwork as closely related.

Therefore, physical contact will be offered gradually during the classes not only with the floor but also with a real partner.

The focus will be to learn how to manage your weight with that of another body in motion through simple sequences of grips exploiting the principles of levers and accelerations learned with the floorwork: then enter into contact with the most intimate space, that between your body and that of the partner.

We will use in the end the acquired principles for the benefit of the choreographic composition.

The improvisation that will start from an exploration of pure movement will also be important.

A meticulous observation of all the possibilities that the body has to move with the diversity of quality and dynamics.

Particular attention will be paid to isolations and listening to how each part of the body can start the movement and link it together creating what can be called a "domino" effect.

Starting from a sequence of movements built on the already explored technical principles, we will begin to improvise by modifying, manipulating, interrupting and repeating the starting material, changing its quality and rhythm.

In a second moment, exploring different "states of mind", we will change not only the construction, but also the sense of the choreographic material.

Urban dance training

UDT - Urban dance training.

The intention is to create each time a working group that will desire to explore the movement in different environments from the classroom, a group able to adapt to every situation and place, that with curiosities, will explore the city with an eye other than the abitual one, through a physical and dynamic approach.

The lessons provide a phisical training, followed by improvisation and choreographic composition in relation to the urban spaces.
